Experiencing the auto insurance world firsthand, Part Deux

The front corner was the busted-up part. Voila, fixed!

Last week I wrote optimistically about my recent fender bender and how I was having a good experience with State Farm. I promised to update y’all so here goes:

The front corner was the busted-up part. Voila, fixed!

My car is fixed and looks perfect, just nine days after the wreck! State Farm really made it easy. No driving around looking for estimates; I made a total of four phone calls and less than a week after I brought to car to the shop, it’s fixed.

Using a State Farm-affiliated repair shop was the key. Totally convenient and they did great work.

I paid my deductible and that was pretty much it.

Major shout out to Harry Smith, my insurance agent in Marietta, and his office. By the way, I was not paid to write any of this! I experienced the system like any other consumer.

Of course, we’ll need to see what happens to my insurance rates… but for now I am quite satisfied.

What about you? If you’ve made an auto claim, have you had a good experience or a bad one?
