Which Atlanta-based companies get perfect LGBT equality rating?

prideparade.1010bEleven major metro Atlanta-based companies receive a perfect rating when it comes to equality efforts toward lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees, according to an annual report card.

The 13th edition of the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index recognizes major companies for the policies, benefits and practices they establish to benefit LGBT workers.

Corporate Equality IndexCriteria include having sexual orientation and gender identity non-discrimination protections throughout a business’ operations; requiring contractors to abide by non-discrimination policies; and prohibiting philanthropic giving to non-religious groups that have anti LGBT policies.

Metro Atlanta law firms represented the highest number of companies in any one category among major locally-based businesses, followed by banking and financial services.

Most of the other major companies on the list, however, have a presence in the metro area.
