NCR executives say they have yet to decide where to put an office campus in metro Atlanta’s northern suburbs, even as they broke ground this week for the financial tech company’s new headquarters in Midtown Atlanta.
A suburban complex is “more likely than not” to happen, NCR Chairman and CEO BIll Nuti told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution after the groundbreaking ceremony Thursday.
But Nuti said no decision has been made yet about how many jobs will be based in the suburban location or even which county it would be in.
NCR is moving its headquarters from Duluth to near Georgia Tech’s Technology Square, in hopes of getting a more urban feel and attracting tech-savvy workers, including some just out of college.
But NCR leaders said having a suburban location as well would give them a site for workers who don’t want to commute to intown Atlanta.
