Duluth-based NCR has a new way to help retailers and restaurant operators.

The company said Tuesday it has acquired CimpleBox, Inc., a provider of back office software that helps businesses reduce the time spent “on manual processes, consolidates data and scheduling across multiple sites and gives management visibility into the business and day-to-day operations.”

“Our goal is to bring technology innovation and simplicity to small businesses to help them grow and be successful,” Paul Langenbahn, president of NCR’s hospitality division, said in a release. “This acquisition supports NCR’s strategy to provide businesses with all shapes and sizes with the solutions they need to modernize their operations.”
